2009 Came in with a bang , We are already looking at a record year just 3 months into the wedding season for this year, and as we've prayed and hoped for, it truly looks to be a year of powerful growth and increase. On Tuesday March 31st 2009, The Wedding Planning Institute called our offices to inquire , as an industry expert, of Pastor Will's interest in Teaching the wedding planning certification course at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. Pastor Will is currently in discussions with the Institute about this unique possibility!

We'd all like to think everything in our lives will go as planned, but we know thats simply not how life works. Maybe something has you feeling down. Maybe your relationship is under strain or experiencing problems. Friends, I have good news for you !
The first thing we need to understand during times of uncertanty is God will never give us more than we can handle. When problems arise learn to see them not as an obstacle to your happiness but as an opportunity to make adjustments in your life.
Be thankful that God has allowed this problem to enter your life, that this problem has allowed areas which need improvement to come to the surface so they can be addressed. Learn to recognize when God is talking to you, when he is sending you that wake up call.
We all have areas in our lives that we need to improve upon. Maybe we've done wrong to someone, or maybe somone has done wrong to us. Take that negative and turn it into something positive. use that relationship problem to strengthen your relationship. Use that strain in your relationship as a time to ask forgiveness or give forgiveness, Remember your committment as a couple toGod, remember why you married (or plan to marry) that person. Use that problem to see areas which need improvement and take action to make those improvements. Too often we simply give up when times get tough, and we miss out on that part of God's plan for our lives. The promises in our lives cannot be fulfilled because we're fighting what god is trying to hand us.
God knows your troubles even before they begin. Sometimes problems arise simply to take you from one place and put you in the next place God has planned for you. Problems can be God's way of advancing you to the next step in your life! God will never close one door without opening another! Every problem is an opportunity if you know where to look.

Many couples ask us about pre marital counseling. Friends the divorce rate in this country is shocking! On average some 50% of first marriages, 60% of second marriages, and 70% of third or subsequent marriages fail and end in divorce. I believe the reason for such alarming rates is the absence of total commitment.
The best insurance for a successful marriage I can offer is to ask yourselves two very important questions before you marry. First, as a couple are you commited to God? Are you living a life that honors him? As a couple live with honesty and integrity,Allow God be the third partner in your marriage. Secondly Are you committed to eachother? Do you believe the best in your spouse? Are you truly committed to working through problems when they arise? (because they will) It's easy to be committed when things are going well in your life. How you handle the difficult times has a huge impact on what your marriage will become.
Be committed to your Wife or Husband. Tell them everyday that you love them. you are proud of them. and you are supportive of them. let that person know you appreciate everything they do for you. Be committed to working together through arguments. Divorce should never be a threat. Learn the art of compromise. You cant win every argument, Learn to agree to disagree. Surprisingly, no two people are a perfect match ! success does not happen without effort. Remind yourselves what brought you to be married. Solve problems together and always believe for the best in your marriage.
A marriage like any other relationship will bear fruit of the seeds you sow. (in other words you will get out of it what you put into nurturing that relationship) If you Sow seeds of kindness and love you will receive kindness and love in return. I believe if you practice these basic principles you will have a successful and lasting marriage.
